FESTIVAL TOUR EVENTS AS FUND-RAISERS: The economic recession prompts fund-raisers to be more creative. Roscon Foundation, with the support of Roscon Scholarship Foundation, launched its first Medical/Cultural Mission Tour in 2012 at Tarlac City, TURISMO TARLAQAUENO. This event, supported by a lot of benefactors, was a success. So, the teams of both countries decided to do another Fund-raiser on January 2014. TURISMO CEBUANO! Composed of almost 40 delegates, the festival tour event was again a success. As Tarlaqueno delegate Lanie Piega puts it: "It was such an experience of a lifetime. I'm glad I joined the tour." Lanie shed some tears during our "Feeding Program" at San Rafael Aeta Village. Angie McAuliffe, a Tarlaqueno delegate said, "none of my tours, even Europe, allowed me this emotional outbursts like Turismo did! It's a very great experience!!! Annabelle Badgwell and Nina Ludeke, Cebuano delegates, said, "we need to do this again...." Hence this January 2016, TURISMO LUZON will be conducted with around 25 delegates from different countries and Texas. The 11-day tour is hectic but the most important segments are the ABS-CBN TV Matinee Show, the Official Visit with Governor Imee Marcos of Ilocos Norte and the fabulous farewell party at VISTA VERDE in Pampanga where prominent guests will join the Delegation on their last day of the festival tour event!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

All the events listed below have the ticket prices on them. They are all completed Events but for accountability reasons, we have to keep them posted. Amounts collected from each event covered all the Foundation's missionary/cultural/educational/administrative expenses on a year-round basis. In 2014, the Executive Committee did a three-year budget on the principal missions and initiated the "GoFundMe" drive (http://www.gofundme.com/8an9ps) which will incorporate funds generated for such budgeted period. The goal may change from time to time based on agreed events but the contributions generated will remain the same. The public is then advised of the financial position of the Foundation on a continuing basis.

Turismo Tarlaqueno 2012

February 11, 2012 - The fund-raiser for Roscon Foundation, Inc., using this Festival Event" as a fund-raising activity was a huge success. The concept was to foster international unity and friendship among the delegates from the United States and Philippines - specifically Texas and Tarlac Cities.. The 7-Day Tour provided a most exciting time for the Delegates making them close friends and humanitarian allies.

Dreamkraft video and Sherley Ann’s YouTubes side by side…

The highlights of the Festival Event were the mountain trekking to Mt. Pinatubo, the visit to the Reliquary of the True Cross and the visit to the Hundred Islands. The Photographs above were featured at the Roscon & Turismo websites (www.turismotarlaqueno.com) BEFORE the Festival Event. The Videos below, done by Sherley Ann Feliciano, Roscon Scholar and Dennis David, Roscon Business Proponent, show how the Delegates spent the 7 days previously scheduled. The presentations made prior to the Festival Event were not far cries from the actual event. Each place visited delivered the promise of the Foundation. Not only was International friendship fostered, everyone felt the appreciation of the earth's natural features and demonstrated their willingness to be part of the sharing with the less fortunate. The Foundation adopted some AETA scholars, tied up with the S.SP.S. Nuns and Reliquary Priests to help the natives. Each and every Delegate pledged to contribute towards the Foundation's missions… which made the Event more meaningful and valuable.
